Everyone knows that the foundation of a healthy body is the blood stream. In this article, I am going to discuss a technique that has really helped me regain my energy and help me to become more focused in my Internet marketing efforts.

Let me start by saying that there are a lot of conflicting ideas out there regarding the subject of nutrition and breathing to build a healthy body. I read an article some years back about the subject and only recently decided to re-implement what I had read. At the time, I was interested in results and as I remember, the article and the techniques discussed did help me gain more energy and focus. I was interested and pleased that even at age 55, the techniques really did work well and I have much more energy and focus for my efforts in Internet marketing.

Here’s how the body works. When you take a breath of air, you not only control the oxygenation of your cells, you also are controlling the flow of the lymph fluid contained in your body. Your lymph system contains white blood cells, which protect your body. When your heart beats, it pumps blood through out your body, carrying nutrients and oxygen to the small blood vessels call capillaries. It is there that the real magic works. The cells know what they need and take the oxygen and nutrients needed for their health and excrete the waste that has built up inside them. Dead blood cells, blood protein and other toxic waste are removed by the lymph system. But here is the key: deep breathing activates your lymphatic system

Your bloodstream has a pump, your heart. The lymphatic system does not. Are you beginning to see why proper breathing techniques are so vital in keeping your body in peak physical performance?
How To Breath Properly To Get The Maximum Positive Effect:

It does not take a rocket scientist to realize that of all the things necessary for good health, oxygen is the most important. To that end, it is amazing to me that more time has not been spent on techniques to get the most oxygen to your bloodstream. Here is the ratio you should try:

Inhale 1 Count


Hold 4 Counts


Exhale 2 Counts

If you are able, increase the number you use to inhale but always keep the same ratio for holding and exhaling. In other words, if you inhale for 4 counts, you need to hold for 16 counts and exhale for 8 counts.

Why is it important to exhale for twice a long as you inhale? That is when your body eliminates all of the stored up toxins through the lymphatic system.

Why is it important to hold for 4 times as long? That is when your blood is fully oxygenated and your lymphatic system is activated.

Take 10 of these deep breaths, 3 times a day (I have actually been doing this 4 times a day, once in the morning, around noon, mid afternoon and then before bed time).

That is it. Not too complicated, is it? I can honestly say that it has really helped me to have a lot more energy and focus. I would like to hear from you with your results. You might have seen many famous actors and models with a ‘6 pack’ abs. And you might even have tried again and again to achieve those abs. But the problem is getting 6 pack abs is not just about muscling up it is also about losing belly fat. This can be achieved by proper abs training.

The reason some people have abs and some do not is that abs is not something you can get by doing exercises or beefing up. In fact the only way to get such abs is to lose your body fat enough that your lower belly sinks in enough to show the shape of your stomach. The reason people are unable to get 6 pack abs is that they keep building muscles and do not focus on losing fat. The shapely 6 boxes are in fact hiding below the fat on your stomach and you just have to get to them by losing that fat.

So what does this mean for you? It means that you can spend your whole life exercising and you will not see a glimpse of those abs because there will be a layer of fat over them. So basically what this means is that you will have to change your eating habits and switch to food which actually help you burn fat. These are foods which aid the body in burning the fat that has built up. Remember, proper abs training has to be coupled with the proper type of eating.

And again do not believe anyone if they talk to you about spot reduction. Spot reduction means targeting one part of your body and losing the fat from there. When you exercise you lose fat from all over your body and not just part so you cannot just do some magical exercise which will just take away the fat from your body. Many machines are pills being advertised on late night tv claim to do just this but they are mostly just a scam to take your money away from you.

So in order to get the abs like the models do you will have to train like they do. And this means not only exercising and running but also proper kinds of nutrition which will make sure the layer of fat on your stomach decreases to the point where it starts to shape up and starts showing a shapely stomach.

And it is important to do proper abs training because stomach fat is associated with many diseases. Having a lean stomach will make you more active, allow you to live better and avoid many types of diseases. And it will also make you look much more attractive.

Iris, is this a trick question? You’re asking about crunches which, as many readers know, are not my top pick for working the core muscles of the abdominals and lower back. So I will tell you where you arms and hands should be for crunches, but not without first giving you my two cents on the three best exercises for strengthening and toning your core. Back in 2001, the American Council on Exercise commissioned a study where researchers from the University of California, San Diego hooked up electrodes to the waists of a dozen or so subjects and asked them to perform 13 popular core exercises, including basic crunches and moves done on several best selling infomercial gadgets. The electrodes transferred information to a special machine designed to measure the electrical activity of the core muscles as the subjects were put through their paces in order to determine which exercises lit up the most muscle fibers the most deeply and for the longest amount of time. Based on this analysis, the researchers ranked the exercises in order from most effective to least effective.

Which exercise came out on top? Not the crunch. Not even close.

The best three exercises for toning the rectus abdominis (The long flat muscle that runs the length of the front of your middle from the rib cage to the hipbone) are the bicycle crunch, captain’s chair knee lift and the ab crunch on the exercise ball.   –more
